ABIS (Automated Biometric Identification System) is INSA's platform for large-scale biometric identification using fingerprint, facial recognition, and iris scanning. It enables accurate, fast identification of individuals across millions of records for national ID, border control, and law enforcement applications.

Why It Matters

Traditional ID systems based on documents and passwords are easily forged or stolen. Biometric identification provides a unique, unforgeable link between an individual and their identity. ABIS enables Ethiopia to build robust national identification infrastructure.
